Where are you?
Many people lead from below the line – a state commonly stemming from millions of years of evolution. We tend to pay more attention to the negative than the positive, which is a common bias. As soon as we sense the first conflict, our reptilian brain kicks in. Fear and anger rise, we get defensive, and we double down on being right. At this point, we’re firmly below the line.
Knowing that you’re below the line is more important than always being above it.
🚣🏻The first mark of conscious leadership is self-awareness and the search for truth.
🚣🏻♂️The second is pausing, taking a second, shifting yourself into an open and curious state, and rising above the line.
If you know where you are, it will be easier to observe how easily you are negatively biased and this will encourage you to be more empathetic with others.
👉If you want to know “where you are”, I will help you using Open Mind Neurotechnologies , that we propose in french and English.
